Repairing a ABS Motorcycle Saddlebag

imageUnderstanding how to repair a motorcycle saddlebag can be a great asset for any motorcyclist. The following will take you through some useful information on how you can repair your motorcycle saddlebag.

It can be difficult doing a motorcycle saddlebag repair on your own, but once you understand how to do it you will want to do all your repairs on your own instead of purchasing a brand new saddlebag every time it gets a hole or crack.

Repairing Motorcycle ABS Saddlebags:

You’ve probably heard of ABS plastic pipe glue or seen it in your local hardware store. This can be some of the most useful glue as it is a thick plastic like material that doesn’t require any heating to get it to dry.

When repairing cracks this pipe glue seems to be able to withstand just about anything. For an even better seal place a tape on the inner side of the crack so that you can force the glue into the crack.

With the saddlebags being made of out ABS plastic it may seem difficult to get a permanent bond as this type of plastic has a substance in it that makes it a bit slippery. You can also purchase a dowel of ABS plastic. Make shavings of the dowel like you would do with cheese and mixing things up with a methyline chloride substances, such as Weld on 3. By doing this you will see the ABS begin to dissolve thickening up the mixture. If you feel that the mixture is not thick enough simply add in more ABS shavings. Be patient though it can take approximately five to ten minutes for the shavings to dissolve fully.

Avoid touching this substance with your bare skin, so find a chopstick or any stick that you can use to mix up all the contents. Now for the area that you are repairing use 220 grit sand paper and make it a bit rough. This will allow the ABS mixture to stick to the surface instead of just sliding off.

Most do the repair from the inner side of the bag and have a paper on the other side that will prevent leaks. It will take some time for the repair to cure, but once it does do any necessary touch ups on edges with a sandpaper that is fine.

If you want a repair that will actually fuse to the old material then this is going to really help you out. By using the same material to repair the cracked area you can minimize the chance of anyone noticing the crack, since it will be gone.

One final note when you decide to do an ABS saddlebag repair, make sure you do this in a well ventilated area as the chemicals in the substances can be harmful to breathe in. Taking the time to do an ABS motorcycle saddlebag repair can take a bit of time, but if its something you feel confident in doing, then do it. It’s not as difficult as it sounds and isn’t hard to clean up, just take your time and you’ll get the job done right the first time.

Six pack abs diet The Woodchoppers Fitness Strength Training Secrets Posted By: Rahim Jiwani

Filed under: Abs — Farhan Khatri @ 3:28 am

Ever wondered how the toughest men alive really build massive strength fast as a hungry cheetah? They all know the same fitness strength training secret…

Building real core strength and fitness strength training at peak performance. Combining both objectives is a fitness workout that gets real results. It’s an awesome fitness strength training method to build your core fast and develop solid brute-force strength.

We call it the woodchoppers exercise! Haha pretty funny. I like the name because really, this fitness workout will get you strong like a 19th century axe woodchopper. It was probably THE fitness strength training method in times of old.

Here’s what you need: A medicine ball and an exercise ball. The exercise ball isn’t mandatory…But I recommend it for building stability. You can also use it for various abdominal fitness workouts.

A medicine ball is a common tool used by professional MMA & boxing athletes for developing brute-force strength. Here’s how the fitness workout for “woodchoppers” strength works:

1. Sit on your exercise ball with your feet at a 90 degree angle to the floor.

2. Hold the medicine ball to your side with both hands (it should be square to your waist)

3. Raise the ball upwards toward the sky on the opposite side of your body.

4. Bring the ball back down to your waist (to the starting position).

Focus on doing 4 sets of 10 for this fitness workout. And remember… always change your fitness workout up. After 4 weeks, try doing 1 set of 50 for 2 weeks, then go to 3 sets of 15, etc.

In 12 weeks, you’ll have a completely new body that’s ripped and strong. This fitness strength training exercise truly does wonders.

But word of caution: If you’re doing this fitness workout at the gym… be sure not to whip the ball towards the sky too fast. Develop a good grip first. When you get comfortable then go faster.

I’m telling you this because one of my most embarrassing moments in life was at the gym. I was doing the woodchoppers fitness strength training workout for the first time…

I quickly raised the medicine ball as high as I could toward the other side of my body…But when I looked up…The medicine ball wasn’t in my hand!

It was flying through the air toward the area where mats are laid out for people to work on their abs and other fitness workouts. The worst landing spot on the entire planet!

So this medicine ball landed 2 inches away from the face of a gorgeous woman at Gold’s Gym! She was lying down on a mat doing her abs and didn’t notice this 12-pound thing flying through the air towards her. It landed so close to her face she screamed at 90 decibals! The fitness trainers and other Gold’s Gym staff rushed over towards her.

I apologized to the woman and the fitness training staff. One fitness trainer tried to sell me his training services as if I was a newbie to fitness workouts.

Every man and woman at the gym stared at me. And people were watching me like hawks for months after this happened…Everytime I did the woodchopper fitness strength training workout.

So take it slow when you’re starting this exercise. Practice makes perfect. You’ll get so good at it, you won’t need to worry about repeating this embarrassing moment I had.

After a couple weeks, take this fitness strength training workout high intensity. It’ll get you strong as an oxen in 4-6 weeks.

How To get A Great Looking Six Pack Abs

imageBruce Lee has something that most women adore and leave most men green-eyed – rock-hard abs, perfectly sculpted, as if the gods themselves molded those muscles in their own hands.  You know you can get one and you know you want to.

To be alive during the “Information Age” indeed has its perks.  You do not need to be a member of an exclusive health club or gym to be able to find answers to your query.  All you need is the knowledge on how to operate a computer and the net and make your way through the cyberworld, where the ocean of data on the subject can be found.

There are lots of ways on

how to get a six pack .  Traditionally, doing crunches and sit-ups are done to be able to get those beautifully chiseled abs.  One can even do it on his own.  These methods, though, are difficult to maintain and they usually take longer before one can appreciate the result.  The tendency is people either throw their hands in the air and quit or they do not maintain the regimen at all.

Having a coach could boost one’s morale and encourage him to continue the exercises.  But it’s not like you are not paying for the coach’s services, so this could also be one of the reasons for failure.  Money matters, you know.

If you surf the shopping channels on TV, you will also find that there are products advertised that claim you could get attractive abdominal muscles without straining yourself.  Just stick it to your aimed muscle group (like your abs, for instance) then the machine will do the rest.

Also, as seen on TV, there are other products that aid people who are aiming for

nice six packs

while exercising.  These tools, like the ab shapers and ab rollers, are instrumental in reducing back strain and getting rid of the greatest obstacle while doing crunches – getting the upper body to rise, which is the very first maneuver.  They also help in shaping other parts of the torso like the obliques.

Still another option for those who wants to have

gorgeously trimmed abs

is surgery.  Of course, this entails numerous risks such as infection and damage to your muscles and other adjacent structures as this is invasive.  One also has to prepare a huge amount just to undergo such procedure.  In short, it is not very practical.

Whatever method it is that you choose, you have to give your dedication, time, and commitment to it; else, you will be back to square one.

Typical? Perhaps… Necessary? Absolutely!!

Filed under: Abs — Farhan Khatri @ 4:57 pm

Welcome to 2010!

In the end of 2009 I welcomed a dreaded muffin top. Great food & drinks combined with little to no exercise was the culprit. I have no idea what the damage is on the scale, because I have STILL not stepped on that evil contraption.

So yes. It may be typical. New year, time for change, blah blah blah, right? Sure.

But just because my timing seems cliche doesn’t mean my intentions aren’t sincere.

So what are my intentions for 2010?

Work out at least 3 times a week.

My gradual move to squishy-ness really had much less to do with my eating habits then they did with my lack of physical activity. Sure I indulge occasionally, but I don’t want to change that. I enjoy eating healthy everyday with a ramdom insertion here and there of decadence. What  I do need is more cardio and more muscle. Not only to look good & drop some pounds, but to feel strong and healthy!

Action Plan:

I’m going to measure this as an average per week on a monthly basis. Example: In order to average 3x/week in January, I will have to go to the gym or workout at home at least 13 times.

Get back on the scale!

I have to admit. I need the scale. When I’m not weighing in regularly, my self perception goes out the window. I think I’ve gained when my pants are looser. I think I’ve lost when my abs are jigglier than a bowl full of jello. It makes no sense! Weighing in brings me back to a certain sense of reality. Not everyone agrees with being tied to a scale & the numbers, but I have tried to live without it and it just doesn’t work for me.

Action Plan:

I will weigh in on the weekend of January 15th.  And every week thereafter in 2010.

Try and get to my goal weight (130lbs) without going too crazy.

First off, I should define “too crazy”:  Obviously I must be conscious of what I eat. Ideally, I would like to not count calories at all, but if progress tells me that I’m underestimating the amount of food I’m eating, I’m going to have to do at least a little bit of math. What I don’t want to do is obsessively track every morsel I put in my mouth or every step I take as a burned calorie. Doing those things is what I consider “too crazy”.

Action Plan:

Weigh in regularly & workout regularly as per the above goals. If my progress is not what I’d like after the first 3 weigh ins, I will adjust my eating and count a few calories.

Look super smoking hot, like beach style hot.

So one day BF and I plan to vacation on a beach in the tropics somewhere. For all I know we will make some last minute travel plans this spring (no, nothing is currently planned, but I wouldn’t put it past us). If the scenario arises where I find myself on a beach this spring, I want to be proud in my bathing suit and looking hot!!

Action Plan:

Along with all of the above steps, I need to get in strength training. Specifically alot of glute/thigh and ab work. I will do at least one strength training workout per week. I will measure this similarly to the workouts per week. (i.e. in January I need to do at least 4 strength training sessions).  I will consider strength training sessions either free weights/machine work on my own, yoga or Pump classes.

So. What do you think? Doable? Too much? Not Enough?
